Every closed trail started with someone who didn\u2019t care. These are the rules we drive, camp and film by, and the reason this channel exists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Seven rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Drive only where it\u2019s legal.<\/strong>Not sure? Then it isn\u2019t. A shortcut is never worth a closed trail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Stay on the track.<\/strong>Every detour around a puddle makes the track wider. Drive through it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Leave camp cleaner than you found it.<\/strong>Pack out your trash and one bag of someone else\u2019s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Keep it quiet after dark.<\/strong>Engines, generators, music: sound carries further out there than you think.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Fire only where it\u2019s allowed.<\/strong>And never in a dry spell, no matter how good the photo would be.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Dogs on leash near wildlife and livestock.<\/strong>Ours love to run. Not at the cost of a deer or a farmer\u2019s sheep.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Respect gates, landowners and locals.<\/strong>Leave gates as you found them. Say hello. Buy your bread in the village.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
